JUNGIAN ART THERAPY GROUP FORMING
Sandy Geller, Jungian Analyst, Board Certified Art Therapist, LPC, two time GWU graduate, French and Art Therapy, is forming a Women’s Jungian Art Therapy Group. The group will meet twice monthly at Sandy’s Chevy Chase, Maryland studio.LImited to 7 members. Sandy has been leading Art Therapy Groups since 1979 when she was hired as the first Art Therapist at the GWU Counseling Center. The Counseling Center provided low cost art therapy for the students in the Graduate Training Program in AT. Many students over the years have taken advantage of that opportunity. Having one’s personal experience as a client in AT is an essential part of training. Even though Sandy left the Counseling Center in ‘88 to begin Jungian studies, Art Therapy continued to be a Staff Position for the next 25 years. This group is for Professional Art Therapists and students of Jung. Exceptions might be made for graduate AT students if they are willing to make a commitment for two semesters.
